What is Legends of Arthengard?
Legends of Arthengard turns your stream into a living MMORPG that runs around the clock, even when you are offline. You take on the role of ruler of a city in a post-apocalyptic fantasy world, while your viewers become its citizens. Together you build a city, fight for survival, and explore the world of Arthengard. In search of resources, your citizens encounter powerful dungeons: a chance for valuable items, but also a growing threat to your city. Whether you can rise to these challenges is decided by your community. The game runs as its own layer alongside your normal content and is completely free, with no pay-to-win.
A city needs someone to lead the way. In Legends of Arthengard, you are that person: you decide where your city grows, which walls rise, and which territories are explored. But no ruler builds alone. Your city is built by those who follow you.
Your Role as a Streamer
You hold the reins and make the important strategic decisions:
⏱️ Your time investment as a streamer is minimal. Coordinate when you feel like it or let your mods take over.
While you sleep, someone chops wood. While you work, the forge glows in the smithy, and dinner simmers in the tavern for the whole city. Your city lives on in the hours between your streams, carried by the people who have joined it.
The Core of Legends of Arthengard: Real Cooperation
Unlike traditional games, there is no automatic resource generation. Every stone, every piece of wood, every coin must be earned by real players (your viewers). Anyone can take part: even unregistered viewers can help out directly with chat commands and automatically receive a temporary guest character. The state of your city shows at a glance how active your community really is. Every city writes its own story: with growth, setbacks, and victories your community achieves together.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the game cost me anything?▼
No, the game is completely free for you and your viewers. I do plan some monetization features in the future, but these will have no impact on gameplay and they will be developed in close exchange with the community.
How much time do I need to invest?▼
Minimal. The game is designed to respect your time. Many things are done with a single click. A few minutes per day is usually enough.
What if I don't stream for a while?▼
No problem, your city keeps going. Events will be waiting for you and most actions can be done without streaming.
How many active viewers do I need?▼
You can start alone. But Legends of Arthengard thrives on real cooperation. With around 5 active players the core principle kicks in: division of labor, coordination in chat and viewers become true teammates.
How do I get the Twitch bot?▼
After the Twitch login, you simply activate the bot yourself in your settings. The check runs automatically and only takes a few seconds.
Can my mods also have lord rights?▼
Yes, your mods are automatically granted "Noble" status with (almost) full rights.
What happens if my community can't hold the city?▼
Setbacks are part of the game, not a game over. If you lose a city defense, for example, supplies are lost and a repair order is created that the community works through together. Then things continue. Difficulty and costs scale with city size, so small or quiet communities are never at a disadvantage.
How many people typically join in?▼
Based on current numbers, city sizes settle at roughly 80 to 150 percent of a channel's average viewer count.
What permissions does the LoA bot need?▼
As usual, the bot needs mod rights. On top of that it wants to see who uses subs, bits and channel points, so it can grant matching ingame bonuses for them.
How does the game keep from getting boring after the first successes?▼
The game is deliberately built for the long run, so real achievements only take shape over weeks and months. On top of that, there are quest events every two months with large city tasks that create new goals.
